About

Every city has more than one portrait.

“Make a portrait of tomorrow” is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that invites young people to explore Athens through photography, video, environmental action and intercultural learning.

Athens is a city of powerful contrasts. It combines ancient history, contemporary culture, tourism, creativity and vibrant public life. At the same time, like many European cities, it faces challenges connected to urban pollution, waste, intensive tourism and the everyday use of public space.

During the exchange, participants will look beyond the usual postcard image of Athens. They will photograph both its inspiring and overlooked sides, speak with local people, explore the relationship between tourism and the urban environment and create visual messages for a more sustainable city.

Photography will not be treated only as an artistic technique. It will become a tool for observation, communication, reflection and social awareness.
